The F&I Manager sells new and used car buyers financing and insurance programs. The F&I Manager also works with financial lenders to give fair interest rates and specialized programs to buyers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Produce additional revenue for dealership by selling financial & insurance programs (e.g. extended warranties, financing &credit life, accident & health insurance plans) to new & used vehicle customers
  • Manage all rate quotations, insurance fees & financing
  • Develop incentives for salespeople to sell insurance & financing in accordance with dealership policies
  • Educate salespeople in effective practices & procedures of selling financing
  • Work with sales managers to maximize profits on every sale
  • Establish finance forecasting in combination with sales department forecasting to achieve desired percentage of penetration & income
  • Prepare appropriate delivery & submission paperwork for outside sources
  • Conduct history & lien checks on trade-in vehicles
  • Prepare monthly reports on financial penetration & share with Dealer
  • Verify all documents for correct titles, taxes & lien information
  • Handle & respond to post-delivery customer inquiries such as warranty & loan payouts

Requirements:

  • Post secondary diploma/degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years auto sales experience
  • Knowledge of finance & insurance products
  • Strong administrative & management capabilities
  • Ability to set effective, efficient time schedules
  • Ability to prioritize workflow
  • Strong sales ability
  • Desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client base
  • Computer literate
